Prince2™

Q-Campus offers the Prince2 course only in our Middle East Region.

Prince2 is a structured methodology for managing any type of project in any type of environment. Because it is so generic, it doesn’t cover specialist product creation techniques.

Prince2 stands for Project in Controlled Environments. The methodology is, just like ITIL, issued by the UK Office of Government Commerce.  It describes 8 core processes, 8 components and 3 techniques:

Processes:

  • Starting up a Project

  • Initiating A Project (IP)

  • Directing A Project (DP)

  • Controlling A Stage (CS)

  • Managing Product Delivery (MP)

  • Managing Stage Boundaries (SB)

  • Closing A Project (CP)

  • Planning (PL)

Components:

  • Organisation

  • Plans

  • Controls

  • Business Case

  • Management of Risk

  • Quality in a Project Environment

  • Configuration Management

  • Change Control
